Integrative Resistance Training

Integrative Resistance Training uses strength training as a pathway to greater strength, empowerment, resilience, and well-being. Drawing from evidence-based mindfulness and nervous system regulation tools, each session combines resistance training with reflective practices that help strengthen both body and mind, both during training and in daily life.

Classes explore how physical strength can support confidence, self-awareness, emotional resilience, and personal growth.

Class 1: Awareness Through Resistance Training

Build awareness of your body, breath, thoughts, emotions, strengths, and values while learning foundational movement patterns and developing a mindful approach to resistance training.

Class 2: Resistance training with Intention

Explore how posture, alignment, breath, and intentional effort can support both physical strength and personal growth while developing greater confidence through resistance training.

Class 3: Strengthening Resilience Through Resistance training

Explore the relationship between thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and challenge while learning to work with strengths, supportive beliefs, and empowering self-talk through resistance training.

Class 4: Listening to the Wisdom of the Body Through Resistance Training

Develop greater self-awareness by exploring felt sense, interoception, and the body's natural feedback system while learning to distinguish between challenge, effort, and overwhelm through resistance training.

Class 5: Finding Balance Through Resistance Training

Build ways to use resistance training to work with emotions, overcome challenges, and return to balance by strengthening resilience through breath, movement, recovery, and nervous system regulation.

Class 6: Moving Forward with Purpose

Integrate your learning by using your strengths, values, and gifts to propel you forward with greater confidence, empowerment, and purpose through resistance training.

A Shared Strength in Motion Framework

While each Strength in Motion program uses a different form of movement, all programs follow the same six-step framework designed to cultivate awareness, intention, resilience, vitality, and connection.
